'perspective' was actually written as an acoustic track at least 2 years ago about a friend’s divorce which had gotten particularly nasty; he had been taken over by hate and lost sight of the fact that the previous 10 years, which were largely happy, had ever happened. The song deals with feelings that, although no longer present, will always exist somewhere in time. My own marriage ended last year and this made the lyrics take on a whole new level of resonance, so I worked out new instrumentation and was happy for it to not only be included on my album, loss, due to be released in Spring of this year, but to be my very next single
